About Artemisia Apothecary
Herbal medicine crafted with care
May your cup always overflow with the abundance and nourishment of the plants…
Artemisia Apothecary steeps the ancient tradition of using plants as medicine with the current health and wellness needs of living during a complex time on the planet. The word Artemisia stems from the ancient moon goddess Artemis, who is often associated with plants and healing. Artemisia is also the Latin name for the dream herb, mugwort. “Mug” refers to a large cup and “wort” means plant.
There is a dynamic relationship that occurs between plants and people. For centuries humans have maintained health through the use of internal, external and spiritual connections to herbal medicine. Artemisia Apothecary seeks to offer a mindful selection of medicines most suited to the zeitgeist, or “spirit of the times”. We live during an era of heightened stress levels, adrenal burnout, environmental toxins, less than adequate health care systems, & political and social unrest. Being able to tend and nourish our mind, body and soul, on our own, is empowering, healing, and during these times, revolutionary. Lindsey and Artemisia Apothecary move from a place of deep respect for the plants with a genuine desire to provide high quality and affordable health and wellness care. A percentage of all the profits made will be donated to various causes that are doing vital work for the protection of human beings and the planet.
